Back in November I caught wind that Free Range Cook, Annabel Langbein was having a competition. This competition involved several specifically selected participants. Her latest free range book. Her amazing recipes. And these participants putting on a feast for their family and friends and having someone photograph the atmosphere. Sounds like fun right?? …
………Ok, Ok… I’m going to put it out there right now, because I knoooow what my friends and family are thinking (yes I do!!!) … … Well … I’m not much of a cook… and um… *cough* … *sneeze* …. *distraction of some kind*… this was the first time I’d heard of Annabel. I know, I know… head in the ground like an Ostrich! I’m the first to admit! But now that I do know of her.. I waaaant her books! And it’s definitely in my goal this year to step into that kitchen and create some of her recipes for myself! Because between Annabel and Miss Lilly… the flavours of this feast were dancing on my taste buds!!!!
Phew, now that that’s off my chest… moving right along! … hehe
Miss Lilly’s Boutique Cafe is a mobile business who have made their way around Christchurch events in their bright happy blue and pink caravan. They come with a couple of massive smiles, happy energy, good will and amazingggg snacks and beverages.
I’d met Larina (also known as Miss Lilly) and partner Kristian (also known as Nugget) at the start of last year when they’d featured in the Christchurch Magazine, Avenues. Miss Lilly had a dream of owning her own mobile food business and when the time came, she jumped at the chance to start the business in her gorgeous wee caravan and now she has quit her job and gone full time!! … WOHOOO for following your dreams and your heart! …So Doug and I were so delighted to be asked to photograph this special event many months after our first meeting. When Miss Lilly was selected to be apart of this fun summer competition run by Annabel Langbein, there was no two ways about it… we were thereeee!
So come early November, the sun was shining, the air was warm and Miss Lilly and Nugget had put on a divine setting and feast for their friends and family to enjoy with them by a stream just outside of Christchurch. Ahhhhhh, this was the true feeling of summer kicking in! – Family, Friends, Sunshine and FOOOOD!!!!
If you want to know more about Miss Lilly’s Boutique Cafe … here is their Facebook Page and their Website. Always such a pleasure working with these two! .. Two dedicated people with absolute hearts of gold! And now they’re rocking the scene up in Picton! … Be sure to look out for them! :)
We had so much fun being apart of such a gorgeous event. And we’re always wishing you the very best in business Larina and Kristian!
Catch you both again soon! :)
Lots of Love,
Heather and Doug xoxo
