Lindsay & Mick {Vow Renewal}
Mick and Lindsay aren’t new to the blog. I had the pleasure of capturing their family when I went to Tauranga last August. You might remember a very adorable smile from under a very big firemans hat.
This time, I was lucky enough to be invited to capture a truly special celebration. A vow renewal marking 10 years of marriage.
A lot can happen in 10 years. Heck a lot happened in just the one year. I told the story in their family shoot of Lindsay facing the horrible C word. When we had that shoot, she wasn’t in the clear. But now she IS! HOORAY!!!
So although this celebration isn’t about that horrible ordeal and more about a lasting relationship that can only get stronger… looking cancer in the eyes is something that makes you rethink your life, the people in it and makes you thank the lords for every day you have with your kids, your family and your friends.
Down at beautiful Anzac Bay not far from Kati Kati. The lolly table caught the kids eyes. Mick and Lindsay’s original wedding vows along with some other fun and creative stuff accompanied the lollies.
Waitangi Day 2012 was a good day. The ceremony started around 10.30am. They had the same celebrant from 10 years ago. How cool!
Lauchlan lit a candle.
The bestie did a beautiful reading.
Everyone huddled in a casual, relaxed and beautiful manner.
And Malakhai wanted to put Mom’s new ring on.
So much love!
4 amazing women! And the best of friends!
Some original bridal party members from 10 years ago.
Polaroids are back! YESSSS!!!
I seriously love this family!
They’re a happy family!
The newly vowed couple themselves. So Gorgeous!!!
Mick’s a firefighter volunteer. I had to say that somewhere!! :)
And on the other side of Anzac Bay, the Canadian gets her heal click on!
Taking on the world together…
…With their friends at their side.
Adam cranks out the guitar.
And Millie gets her hop on!
Khai is out for the count in the arms of his best bud.
While the boys hunt for crabs and sting rays.
The girls did some twirling.
And the day came to a halt, on the beach, with a wine in the hand.
Lindsay and Mick. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. You guys are amazing! Thanks so much for inviting me in. Happy 10 years, and here’s to the next 50! :)
Can’t wait to see you guys again,
Lots of Love xoxo
