The winter season is upon us! Lots of snuggly nights in front of the fire and plenty of warm indoor days for us while we continue to go through and edit the last of our beautiful weddings from this year. We’re also back into engagement sessions for weddings coming up later in the year! Yay! Never is there a dull moment!! :)
The day before they stepped on the plane for beauuuutiful Canada, I caught up with the gorgeous Amelia and Todd for their engagement shoot!
For yeaaaars I’ve been trying to remember who Todd is. … … Alzheimer’s come early?? Naaaah… Doug and I have known Todd and his identical TWIN brother since Doug arrived from South Africa a decade ago… it took me agesssss to tell them apart! But now, I definitely can!! … Because Todd is marrying Amelia… and well, his identical twin brother… is not!!!!! … Yip…simple simple, easy peasy. (Amelia, please don’t leave Todd’s side, I may be in trouble otherwise hehe).
2 years after being introduced to the gorgeous Amelia, Todd got down on one knee in a wee chapel near Blenheim that Amelia has dreamed of getting married in for a while now. It wasn’t a certainy that they could get married there. So if getting married there wasn’t to be… Todd was at least going to ask the most important question of his life there. Luckily though, as fate would have it, the stars have lined up and they’ll be getting married at St Oswald’s Church this October! YAY … And we caaan’t WAIT to capture their day!
Amelia and Todd are totally awesome. But like a lot of people, stepping in front of the camera can be a bit scary. That’s why engagement shoots are FANTASTIC. We get to know each other, you come to realise that the camera isn’t all that scary (although I have been considering buying an Elmo attachment for the front of my lens to make it that much cuter!! :D) … We start at the feet and before you know it, you’re snogging in front of the neighbours.
Thanks for such a lovely afternoon is the gorgeous sunshine guys. Was so great to catch up! I hope you guys had a super fantastic trip to Canada and we soooo look forward to seeing you in October!
