Phillip. Born and bred Irish. Aine. Born in England, raised in Ireland.
The Irish say she’s English and the English says Irish.
So two people from the same side of the world, the same country… fly to the other side of the world, and as fate would have it… this is where they meet. And whats even better… they arrived within 2 weeks of each other.
However they didn’t meet for another year after arriving.
With the help of 2 friends, who were waiting for the right time… invited Aine to Phillip’s surprise 30th Birthday Party. I think it’s evident so that Phillip got a pretty amazing gift that birthday. Because that meeting lead to an engagement. And lead Aine to her Cavan Man.
Fast forward a couple of years from that meeting… …To a park bench in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens…
…With a jelly ring!!! (Before the real one came)
And they couldn’t be more ecstatic!
You see that red jacket Aine is wearing? She had that specially shipped over from England for this shoot. We had scheduled a shoot 2 weeks prior to this but the jacket… the jacket wasn’t here yet!!! So we waited. And boy was a late jacket a blessing in disguise. Because thanks to the snow last week, the gardens became a snow dusted wonderland!
Oozing utter fabulousness guys!!
THE NEXT BEST PART … Phillip picked himself up a 1968 VW Combi Van just a couple of weeks ago. So guess what we took on a date?!
I think we’ve stepped into a little piece of Europe with this engagement. Loving it!!!
And come December, a little touring of NZ in this baby will take place.
Aine & Phillip. You two are a truly fabulous couple that radiants colour and flare. Thanks for bringing the awesome to your engagement shoot. I can not waaait to show you more!!! Until then! x
