If you catch these two not smiling at each other. I think it’s because they are sleeping. But even then, I reckon they smile in their sleep.
Amanda and Michael started off as work mates. Then Mike left his position and Amanda was left wondering why on earth she missed him so much. So she did a little chasing.
7 years later, one September Earthquake passes and they treat themselves to a weekend away in Auckland. After one amazing day together, Mike, unplanned gets down on one knee in the middle of ‘Soul Bars’ dance floor and asks Amanda to marry him. She thinks he’s joking.
Then walking home, outside a Chinese Restaurant in the streets of Auckland, Mike trys again with the patrons of the Restaurant clapping profusely for them. Amanda still thinks he’s joking.
Third time’s a charm. The hotel lobby, the cleaner is watching. Amanda believes him and of course accepts!
Three things that were evident straight away… Amanda’s smile shines bright.
…Mike is a wee bit goofy…
…And they love each other whole heartily.
Amanda says herself that he is hard not to smile at.
Upon our first meeting, they let me in on their lives. They shared some rough but very important facts with me that melted me like a popsicle. I was glad to be let in.
And how can I not want to be let in. Look how much fun these guys are?!
I’m just going to say it. Amanda you are STUNNING! (And Mike knows it too ;-)
They love each others company more than anyone I’ve ever met. When they’re not just reading a book or two at home. They are spending their money on trips away together. Cirque du Soleil here, Foo Fighters there (the day after their wedding no less)… amongst many other things.
What’s that quote about love isn’t looking at each other but looking in the same direction? Yeah..well I don’t know if I agree with that 100%. You can see why.
I think I have fairytale love on my hands. With the fairytale wedding right around the corner. And I get to capture it? I love my job. We’ll see you guys in February to continue your magical story. :)
