They say third times a charm. And the charm came in the form of a young man called Tom.
Cassie had been set up on several dates. Did she want to go another another one? What was special about this guy? … She wasn’t even sure she liked Tom at first. But he must of done something right, because 4 years later, one foggy night up at the Port Hills, he planned to propose. He also planned to have a view of Govenors Bay, but the fog got in the way of this. He’d planned to go through the Lyttelton Tunnel through to the Port, but the Tunnel was closed. Hmmm, he hadn’t planned for this either. Final attempt of the night, “Cassie, lets just go down to the Pier for a walk”. Unsuspecting Cassie wasn’t having a bar of it, it was home time.
They didn’t get engaged that night.
Fast forward one week. Tom is still the boyfriend, but he wants to be the fiancé. So he did what every guy dare NOT to do… he turned off the TV in the middle of Desperate Housewives. And before Cassie had the time to react, Tom was down on one knee, in the middle of their home with a very important question on the tip of his tongue.
Cassie just said Yes to the man of her dreams.
They were real life engaged! — Beat. that. Desperate Housewives!!! ;-)
This was my first time meeting Tom. The chit chat got going straight away. I tend to always ask the question “Do you like having your photo taken?” .. Most people say No… And within the first few frames of each shoot, I am convinced all my clients are absolute fibbers (said with love) … because I always see pure magic. Cassie and Tom were the ‘No’ answer too. So I was barely prepared for the beautiful energy Cassie and Tom gave me. Within moments, their natural fun loving relationship spilled out in full force and all I had to do was keep up with the beautiful action! I was already so looking forward to their wedding day!
Cassie and Tom, I had the best time with you guys. And I am sooooo looking forward to your February Wedding. It’s going to be INCREDIBLE.
All the best with all the plans leading up to the day and we’ll see you then,
