They met in New Zealand. But there was only a short time to get to know each other before Gina was moving to the other side of the world. Steve could have just stayed here… got on with life and whatever happens… happens. Or he could have followed her across and moved in with her, stating clearer than ever that ‘I want you! And I don’t want to wait!’. And that’s exactly what happened!
But this didn’t come without a proposal that Steve made Gina sweat for. … The surprise for Gina was not that they were getting engaged.. but ‘when’ and ‘how’.
Gina had a condition though (for her reasons) and that was it was NOT to be done on the rickety old fishing boat named Rona! .. Otherwise she was saying No!!
… Well 9 or so months went by after the ring was purchased, Gina was on the edge of her seat every time they went out… and in good ol Steve style, he proposed to Gina whilst on a day fishing trip … ooon Rona. hehe.
Well.. she still said YES.. and I’m guessing this means she really likes Steve!
We had so much fun just chatting and taking the mickey out of each other. (Steve sees me as quite the accident waiting to happen! … I reallllyy didnt mean to step in the poop AND the stinging nettle.. promise! lol)
Gina and Steve, I loooooved hanging out with you in what is practically your backyard. I loved getting to know you both so much more.. and I am soooo excited for the big day!
See you in February! :)
