Alert, alert… one MAMMOTH blog contained within. I still have a few wedding blogs to construct! And I’m excited to share them all! … We are starting with the gorgeous Steph and Mick and I’ve combined their engagement shoot and wedding together for double the goodness!!!
Steph and Mick have been a true pleasure to capture as a couple. They’ve been together the better part of a decade… not far off anyway! They’ve travelled the world, visiting so many glorious places together, getting to know each other in the best way that challenges any couple! You’re in each others pockets all the time, some people may not be so good at directions or organising. Some may spend too much money and make the other carry all your spending glory. Some may think they ‘know it all’. Haha In nooo way am I referring to Steph and Mick right now… I’m just saying from personal experience… travelling is one of the funnest, best, most challenging ways to really find out how much you love your other half!!!! Side note>> Doug… thanks sooo much for marrying me after having travelled the world with me haha!
Steph and Mick were so stoked to be finally making things official after having spent so much of their lives together already! And Mick’s face when she came down the aisle was nothing short of blown away joy!
Trents Vineyard put on a beautiful day for them and it was our absolute pleasure to capture every moment!!
We had a great time on their engagement shoot, but soon escaped the ridiculous gale force winds of the Port Hills and found a cosy enchanted wee forest near by!
To whom ever it may concern… Thank you for making these gorgeous wee huts for us to use for our creative benefit!! They are pretty darn cute!
You have such a beautiful smile Steph!!
Oh that sunlight! Can’t get enough of it!
On March 27th, their wedding day… I arrived to a gorgeous Steph and her beautiful Robyn Cliffe gown.
Amazing detail and flow to this wedding gown, how could Steph not blow the socks off of Mick! Beautiful!
I immensely appreciated the dedication of these bridesmaids trying to get a dress centered in this window. Photo opportunities all round!
Over at Mick’s house, the Groom is cool as a cat!
Steph you look incredible! Every last little detail!
Natural light like this, doesn’t get much better!
And before we know it, it’s that time.. and the ceremony is calling the brides name!
I often wonder… if a bride and groom were to get nervous pre ceremony (it’s totally okay and absolutely natural) … Would it be more nerve wracking for the Groom who is meeting and greeting everyone as they arrive and standing at the alter for the arrival of the bride. Or for the Bride who has everyone staring at her in all her bridal glory as she walks towards her future husband!?!?! … Just a random thought to ponder!
I’m such a fan of Trents! The reception always look so gorgeous!
We’ve done quite a few weddings at Trents… and it’s funny.. but this was the very first wedding where the couple had chosen to have horses in the field! … Naughty nibbling horses (yes one took a bite at my camera bag haha)
And here she comes….. Micks face! .. Enough said!
Such a happy Mum!
Such a dream couple! I really loved capturing their beauty together!
Steph loves horses and this mischievous little horsey loved her flowers…. … tooo the point where she was being chased round and round in circles. Of course the photographers just took photos!
Looooving that Robyn Cliffe dress!
Such a beautiful couple!
Anyone who pulls off an intricate dance is golden in my books! These guys did amazing!
I have a lot of favourite shots from the season… but I think this is the top of the tops for me!It’s got fairytale written all over it, and I love a good fairytale!! :)
Steph and Mick, you guys are amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to capture so many special moments in your beautiful wedding and you both as a couple! Enjoy your photos for ever more! And here’s to the BEST first year of marriage and many more to come!
All our best, Heather & Doug xxx
