Tapestry: Echoes of South Africa

I was so excited when my dear friend Roz asked me to photograph her and Harry for an upcoming show called ‘Tapestry’ as a part of the Christchurch Jazz and Blues Festival that for once SHE is putting together!
Roslen is a sensational singer, sensational not being a strong enough word! She has learned 10 songs in the space of 2 days before. I can’t even begin to fathom that! She is the soul of any meeting and greeting, shes genuine, down to earth and her humour is amazing.
These photos will be the face for their show and will be in The Christchurch Press.

Here is her story:

Echoes of South Africa woven together in a tapestry of Jazz, Gospel, Soul and Blues, Roslen Langton sings her story. South African born Roslen ‘utterly shines with presence and sheer vocal magic’. Joining together with the cinematic sounds of guitarist Harry Harrison and band, this concert promises to be truly a night to remember. Come share in this rich tapestry of sound.
Roslen Langton graduate of NASDA and actress with the Court Theatre has performed throughout NZ in performances with such artists as LA Mitchell, Mark Vanilau, Harry Harrison, Cairo Knife Fight and Departure Lounge.
Guitarist/Composer Harry Harrison has performed throughout NZ and overseas with such major artists as Dave Dobbyn, Mary Coughlan, Renee Geyer, Anika Moa and Bic Runga. No stranger to the concert stage, Harry regularly headlines in themed concerts and his own original material.
