Happy Birthday Albaroo {1st Birthday Cake Smash}
What seems like the other day but in reality was more than 14 months ago… this beautiful girl and her awesome husband strolled through a misty field where they couldn’t see more than a stone throw in any direction. They may have well been the only ones in the whole world. Almost. … They were there for a very special reason, because it wouldn’t just be the two of them for much longer now. They were preparing for the next stage of their lives, the stage that would consist of a child.
They were nervous.. they were excited… ‘What if I don’t make a good parent?’ may have slipped off the tongue of the beautiful girl a couple of times. … I shook my head, because as I’ve come to know this couple… when they do something… they do it with all their heart. They give themselves completely!!
Just 2 months later on September 4th 2012. A baby girl was born. Kelly and Jarred’s new journey had commenced …
Alba Evelyn Shakespeare instantly became the apple of their eye. The love of their lives. They actually couldn’t believe how much they loved this little soul. It was like no feeling they’d had before.
They couldn’t wait to show her the world .. and show her OFF to the world.
Fast forward one year. One year full of love and friendships. Four wheeler bikes and basketball hoops. Grandad’s fun dirty farm. Witnessing the Canterbury landscapes on Daddy’s back. And so soooo much more.
And here she is, the cutest wee monkey around. She’s intrigued by all the crazy colours. She didn’t find it too funny when a little balloon air was blown near her face. Normally she gets a small bowl full of food, “Why do I have an entire cake in front of me?”. Her little face was full of questions! .. “This is all so new to me! We don’t do this every day!”
That’s because my dear sweet wee Alba… it’s not every day that you turn One. This is all in Mum & Dad’s plan of showing you just how much fun life can be!
And fun they had. The Shakespeare’s are crazy, funny, goofy, beautiful and completely out for a good time. … Watch.. smile… and laugh at them! It’s ok.. they don’t mind!! ;-)
And poor Alba wondered why Mummy and Daddy were ‘beating each other up’. Absolute concern lol.
Yeah you tell them Alba!! “Get off me with your grubby cake faces!”
Yeah you got messy wee princess!! hehe.. but you have to admit it was fun!!
Happy Birthday Albaroo! … I’ve loved watching you grow over this last year. You have the best family and I can’t wait to see the adventures that Mum and Dad show you during your second year in this world.
Love Aunty H! xoxo
