Ok I will admit, I’ve been really lazy when it’s come to this blog post. But here we are almost 2 months on (oh come on Heather, that’s terrible!).
When I created for myself ‘Flaunt that Dress’. I had two shoots in mind. My first shoot was with Bernadette (and here) a vintage-slash-victorian-slash-ethereal theme.
Here we have Roz, and this time I wanted to go with a 1950’s housewife theme. (I went through a very small phase to which I now have a coffee coaster on my desk that says “I don’t have to do housework on days that end in “Y”.”
My ideas took a turn from a comical sesne – a 1950’s housewife who doesn’t know how to cook, doesn’t know what a toaster is, would buy cupcakes from a pack but pretend she made them. Ok, ok… I will admit… this theme derives from my own lack of housework and cooking skills. Although I do know what a toaster is!
Throughout the shoot, it turned into beautiful and elegant and Edmonds garden provided us with a beautiful location filled with roses.
Roz is so great, so funny and so energetic. She thought she was more suited to “Thai airways, please make sure your chair is upright and your tray table is stowed away”
That would be a toaster my dear! A wooden spoon is not required in there…perhaps a piece of bread?
How to make upside down cupcakes…
Wow, no mixing, baking or clean up required… magic cupcakes! Clever housewife!
“I made these, I swear!”
Oh we had so much fun, I asked for any and every pose on the planet before Roz would burst out laughing. Can’t get more genuine than that!
About this point we left the comical side behind (but that didn’t mean we didn’t have a truck load more laughs) and entered a more sophisticated approach.
I love how elegant and beautiful Roz is. I could put her in a paper bag and she would look just as beautiful.
A big huge thank you to my support team, Bernadette and Marie-Lousie. Roz’s friend came for the picnic too. Marie-Louise made this dress also… and not only that, she is also making MY wedding dress! I couldn’t have more confidence in her if I tried!
Part 2 of Roz’s shoot is shortly behind and another wedding dress has come into my life, so another fun ‘Flaunt that Dress’ will hopefully tantalise my taste buds soon. I’ll keep you posted.
