August 30th. I checked the weather report for Friday September 2nd.
Cloud and rain.
And then a whisper of snow was in the air. ‘I love you snow, but don’t you dare get in the way of me doing a job!’
September 2nd. The day of Elanor and Brian’s Kaikoura wedding. We jumped in the car, looked to the skies and all we could see was blue, blue, blue, with barely a breathe of cloud.
I’m kinda liking how the weather man has been wrong lately.
Preperations and the reception were held at the Fyffe Country Lodge which they had all to themselves. Such a beautiful location!
All the girls got together in one room and started the celebrations.
And before we knew it, it was time to get into the dress. Elanor’s Mum and her sister Jenny tied her in nicely.
And look how beautiful the bride looks. But I’m not surprised I did say from their engagement that Elanor is the inside out kind of beautiful!
Doug met with the men in another room.
This is Brian’s nephew, Sutton. All the way from the States.
The last photo before the bride sees her groom.
The best part of the weather coming through was, Elanor & Brian got to have their preference of having their wedding on a cliff top over looking the Kaikoura Peninsula. A place they once saw a shooting star which determined the place of their ceremony.
This area is where they have spent much of their relationship. This part of the peninsula is where Brian spent his time studying the whales.
So here they walk…together…towards marriage.
All the guests, alot of whom came from either Scotland or The States. Walked the 15 minute brick path to this GORGEOUS spot for the ceremony.
The ceremony was a unique blend of Jewish and Catholic traditions. The two ministers worked side by side to include and represent both Elanor and Brian’s backgrounds.
And we can’t forget Elanor’s Scottish background. Her Dad, Brother and Cousin wore kilts.
I just love the way Brian looks at Elanor. Its the look every girl hopes for.
The tightknit ceremony came to a close and the bubbles came out to play.
Doug out shot me on this one. I’m so proud of him, but also I think I may have to up the ante. ;-)
The bridal party are all smiles.
And Elanor & Brian totally smitten with one another.
So many different and beautiful scenery’s. Thank you Kaikoura.
And back at the Fyffe Country Lodge before being announced into their reception.
They had a cool band…
And the dancing commenced.
Brian and Elanor. What a magnificent day. Thank you so much for choosing us to capture it. It was such a privilege.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Miller!
