December, December, December. I’m saying it to myself more than once to remind me that December has been happening. That it hasss been enjoyable and that I haven’t missed a beat. Because I swear, it’s getting to the point that blinking for a second too long could have you opening your eyes post blink, to the Easter Bunny hopping across the lawn.
I’ll say it again to slow down time a bit. Remember, Remember, Remember… December, December, December.
The 8th of December was the perfect day. The air was warm, the wind was light and considering it was bucketing down the night before… Summer showed up with bells on. Gabby & Dwayne’s wedding day was finally here!
I walked into Gabby’s parents home where there were an abundance of smiles. Gabby received her gorgeous specially made earrings as a wedding gift.
Gabby, you look amazingggg!
This is Tama, Gabby’s number 1 guy. Sorry Dwayne, better luck next time?!
Over at the guys place. They are gearing up, with poles in hand to do a spot of fishing before the ceremony.
Unfortunetly… no catches. Well… maybe one. But I think one of the groomsmen would rather not remember the big hunk of seaweed on the end of his line!
And right at the other end of the beach. Gabby and the girls have a wee frolic on the sand.
St Gregory’s church held the ceremony.
Dwayne awaits his bride with anticipation…
The most beautiful singing voice came from this young one. It amazes me every time when you hear such a beautiful voice. I wasn’t born with such talent. But I can certainly appreciate the ones who are!
These moments outside the church when a moment is taken amongst the commotion, to look at one another and communicate with just a look… that ‘we just got married’. Pretty special.
Omarino Wine Park is calling. We’re off for some photos and the reception … Follow me to Part 2 of this blog!
