Jess & Mike {Married} Part 1
It all started 5 years ago back in Idaho, The United States. Jess was attending the University on scholarship when she bumped into a young American whom she just couldn’t take her eyes off. But the good thing was… he couldn’t take his eyes off her either. Young love began to blossom and suddenly living without each other just wasn’t an option. Mike followed his heart to New Zealand to do a year at Lincoln University and the rest they say… is history.
This brings us to the reason Mike never went home… January 12th 2013… the two lovebirds become husband and wife.
The whole day is held at Trents Vineyard. One of my most favourite places in the world. It’s the first wedding we’ve had there and I’m quite glad about that… because as much as one shouldn’t lay claim on a place (especially as a Wedding Photographer) … I kind of couldn’t help it. Doug and I were married at this very spot on a much drearier day just 2 years prior. It remained ours for all that time. So returning 2 years later… a couple of things had changed and we were SO happy to be creating new memories and sharing in someone else’s very special day at this very special place.
So are you ready for beautiful details, beautiful people, beautiful love and crazy amazing beautiful energy??? ….. This is Jess and Mike’s day!
Mike is finalising his speech in their very first home that they moved into just a couple of weeks prior.
While Jess is getting ready at Clearwater Resort.
Flower & Veil. They both make an appearance throughout the day!
Over at Trents Vineyard… Mike is giving his parents (who unfortunately couldn’t make it from The States) a tour around the venue.
The first time Mike see’s Jess. You can’t fake joy like that!
And tears of joy came in abundance!
The happiest newly weds in all the land. Meet The Howzen’s.
‘Read my ring. Marrrrried!!!!’
It was so special having Grandma Joyce there who made the special journey all the way from Idaho for her Grandson’s big day!
The love and energy is only getting started… be sure to follow me into the beautiful summer’s day for more goodness in PART 2
