The floor was shaking, the walls were rattling, the hands came together over and over again, and the noise grew insaaaanely louder …. as Karla and Andrew were welcomed into their reception! …
There is no doubt what so ever, that this couple is one seriously loved couple. The respect and love they receive from their friends and family is nothing short of what they deserve and we were soooo stoked to be there on the happiest day of their lives to capture their love and the friendships they have.
Karla and Andrew met 5 or so years back. Karla, a teacher was working at the same school as Andrew’s mother. Andrew’s Mum slightly hinted to Andrew that there was a beautiful sweet young teacher working at their school. But obviously, Andrew didn’t want to be set up on a date… by his Mum.
Their meeting was in the stars though, because not too long after, Andrew meets a sweet young teacher while out one night, they get to talking and sure enough… she works at. the. same. school. as. his. Mum. hehe. It’s funny how good things come around in their own way and own time. Because here they are on a beautiful summer’s day in Christchurch, excited, bouncy and exactic to be taking the next step and vowing to happily do life together.
I was welcomed into Karla’s parents home where the nephew and nieces were giving me some super cute cheekiness. Come to think of it, the bridesmaids were pretty cute and cheeky too! I knew today was going to be a GREAT day!
I fell in love with Karla’s wedding gown instantly. Absolutely stunning!
The sun was softly shining and it’s time to head of to Pemberton to wait for the arrival of guests.
Back at Karla’s, the atmosphere is a mix of calm and bubbly! … As soon as she got into that dress though, all her dreams from when she was a little girl and hanging towels over her head as a veil…where coming true.
The ceremony has only just begun, follow me through to Part 2 for the I Do’s
