Megan & Craig {Married} Part 1

A wedding day is such a special thing. You plan for months as to who you’re going to invite, what flowers to have, do we choose this venue or that venue. Chocolate cake or traditional fruit? … The details could go on forever. But the main thing is… it’s a day where two people come together… in front of their friends and family, and declare that they wish to be together, hand in hand… for the rest of their lives.
I’ve heard so many people say in a not so fussed tone… ‘it’s just one day’. Well yes you’re right… it is just ONE day… and although it’s not the one day that depends whether you have a happy marriage or not… it is a day full of the greatest celebrations, bringing people together from all shores and all sections of your life… just for YOU.  It’s a day that goes all too fast, even if you try to slow it down. That’s why… future bride… my biggest suggestion for you is to make sure you take a second, just one second in each hour to look around and say to yourself ‘This is my day! … This is our day!’

And today… it’s Megan & Craig’s special day.

I met Megan & Craig just a couple of days prior to their wedding when we had their engagement shoot. Craig, like most Groom’s, wasn’t too fussed with having a camera pointed in his direction. And it made me soooooo ‘heel clicking’ happy when Megan told me later in the day that two things he didn’t used to enjoy, he now does. And one of those things are photos! YUS! And look at him totally owning it.

The guys got ready at the farm Craig grew up on just outside of Timaru. Where we later return for photos.

I discovered just how organised Megan is. She was well and truly ready to go, so she got out of the sweltering 32 degree heat and relaxed with her niece for a wee bit.

I don’t think the word ‘adorable’ even cuts it. I think we have a couple of heart breakers on our hands!

All married up. And then things just got smaller and even cuter. He’s about the size of Megan’s bouqet.
